Flights to Alice Springs - Alice Springs, in the heart of the Red Centre has a modern airport as does Ayers Rock. Both are served with scheduled flights from Qantas, amongst others, and light aircraft are also a great means of traveling the NT and seeing the expansive Red Centre.
Flights to Apollo Bay - The nearest airport is Geelong, just 55 minutes' drive away. Geelong can be reached by air from Melbourne, the closest capital city access point and home to busy international and domestic airports linking to the rest of Australia and worldwide.
Flights to Arnham Land - Fly into Gove Airport situated 13kms from the centre of Nhulunbuy. Flights come in daily from Cairns and Darwin, both of which serve as gateways to the rest of Australia and worldwide.
Flights to Ayers Rock - You can fly into Ayers Rock on Qantas' direct service to Connelan Airport. Alternatively, fly into Alice Springs and then transfer onwards by car, coach or Qantas Air shuttle to Connelan Airport.
The drive from Alice is 4-5 hours.
Flights to Ballarat - Ballarat is situated an easy 1.5 hours' drive on the Western Freeway from Melbourne. Fly into Melbourne and use a fly/drive option or take the Ballarat/Airport Shuttle. A number of trains also run daily between Melbourne and Ballarat.
Flights to the Barossa Valley - Adelaide is best airport for the Barossa Valley. From the airport, take the Barrier Highway 44 kms north-east of Adelaide City to reach the historic township of Gawler - South Australia's 2nd oldest rural settlement and gateway to the Barossa Valley.
Flights to the Blue Mountains - You'll find the soaring Blue Mountains west of Sydney, which is served by all leading international and national airlines. From Sydney, take the train from Central Station to Katoomba or drive to the magnificent Blue Mountains.
Flights to Brisbane - Brisbane is serviced by all the world's leading airlines with services departing from London Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, and other major UK airports daily. Internal flights across Australia are available from the domestic terminal adjacent to Brisbane International.

Flights to Bundaberg - Bundaberg Airport has services to and from major centres and the Coral Isles daily, as well as very popular local scenic flights. Alternatively, fly into Brisbane and make the journey to Bundaberg by road. The distance from Brisbane is 380 kms.
Flights to Byron Bay - Byron Bay's surfing beaches, rainforests and informal, alternative lifestyle is about 10 hours' drive from Sydney, or 15 hours by train. Alternatively, you can fly from Sydney to Ballina (1 hour) and hire a car at the airport, just 30 mins from Byron.
Flights to Cable Beach - Cable Beach is Broome's favourite beach. Broome is served by an international airport and a fantastic network of national air services covering the rest of Australia.
Flights to Cairns - Cairns is a three hour flight from Sydney, or two hours from Brisbane and this international port is served by a number of leading airlines and charter flights. The airport is roughly 15 minutes from Cairn's colourful city centre.
Flights to Caloundra - Brisbane International and Domestic Airports are just one hour's drive south of Caloundra. There is also the Sunshine Coast airport located just 35 minutes away. Both offer links to the excellent domestic flight network around the country & beyond.

Flights to Coober Pedy - Coober Pedy can be reached by road from either Alice Springs or Adelaide. Alternatively, there is a daily air service from Adelaide or you can charter your own air tour from Melbourne, to explore the Outback on the wing!
Flights to Coolum - The Sunshine Coast is served by an airport at Maroochydore with direct flights from Brisbane (a 30 minute flight), Sydney (just over an hour's flight) and Melbourne (a little over 2 hours' flight), while the nearest international port is Brisbane.
Flights to Cradle Mountain
The Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park is a 90 minute drive from Devonport, which can be reached by air from Melbourne directly or from Sydney via Launceston's airport. Devonport can also be reached by air from Hobart, Tasmania's capital.
Flights to Daintree Rainforest - Daintree is roughly 2 hrs' drive from Cairns, served by international & domestic airports. There are plenty of road transfer options from there. Alternatively, Cow Bay Airstrip provides more direct access to the Rainforest for light planes & helicopters.
Flights to Darwin - Darwin's efficient international and national airport is situated roughly 20 minutes' drive from the city centre. Served by Qantas, Garuda and Royal Brunei airlines amongst others, Darwin is also on Aussie's excellent domestic flight network.

Flights to the Fleurieu Peninsula - The Fleurieu Peninsula is only 30 minutes south of Adelaide with its efficient international and domestic air terminals serving the rest of Australia and the world.

Flights to Geraldton - Geraldton is located 424 kms north of Perth (a liesurely 5 hour drive through interesting scenery). Small regional airlines operate from Perth into Geraldton taking just under 2 hrs. Perth is Geraldton's nearest international and major domestic airport.
Flights to the Gold Coast - The Gold Coast is easily reached an hours' drive south of Brisbane or an hour's flight from Sydney. The Gold Coast is covered by the extensive and efficient domestic flight network across Australia, while its nearest international airport is Brisbane.

Geelong's Avalon Airport is an ideal gateway to either end of the Great Ocean Road - the eastern end is only half an hours' drive away from Geelong, while flights also leave there for Warrnambool, Portland & Hamilton on weekdays.
Flights to Halls Gap - If you're flying from an international destination; your closest airport is Melbourne. From there choose road or rail, or perhaps charter a light aircraft to cover the next 280 kms to Halls Gap in The Grampians National Park.
Flights to Hamilton Island - Hamilton Island. Is one of the 74 islands of the Whitsunday’s that lay off the Queensland mainland coast from Mackay to Townsville. Warm all year around, the days are long and leisurely with an average of eight-and-a-half hours of sunlight to each day.
Flights to Hervey Bay - From Brisbane, there are several daily flights to Hervey Bay & nearby Maryborough & Fraser Island. The majority of visitors come by road as Hervey Bay is only 3 hours north of Brisbane. Regular coach services are available from most Queensland locations.

Flights to Merimbula - Situated on the un-spoilt Sapphire Coast, less than 3 hours' drive from Canberra, Merimbula has its own airport served daily by domestic and chartered aircraft from Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
Flights to Monkey Mia - Monkey Mia can be reached by sealed road 24km from Denham where Sharks Bay's airport it located. The airport is served by domestic airlines from Perth, with its international and domestic links across Australia.
Flights to Mount Gambier - Regular return flights are available between Mount Gambier & Adelaide and Mount Gambier & Melbourne. Both Adelaide and Melbourne are roughly 5 hours' drive away while a longer route can be taken to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road (7.5 hrs).
Flights to Armidale - Armidale, at the centre of the New England region has a domestic airport as do Tamworth and Glen Innes. However, with the New England Highway running between Brisbane and Sydney, the area is easily accessible by road.
Flights to New South Wales
New South Wales’ main international and national airports are located in Sydney. The state is covered with an excellent network of domestic airlines with smaller airstrips and airports, mostly served with regular, scheduled flights.
Flights to Ningaloo Reef - Coral Bay offers excellent access to Ningaloo Reef. Fly into Learmonth airport from within Australia. Ningaloo and Coral Bay are approximately 1 hr south of Learmouth. International visitors will usually fly into Perth and then onto Learmouth.
Flights to Noosa Heads
Sunshine Coast Airport at Maroochydore is just 30 mins drive from Noosa & has direct flights to & from most Oz cities. Brisbane airport is the domestic and international gateway to Queensland with over 200 flights daily.
Flights to the Northern Territory
For the Northern Territory, fly into Darwin with its international and domestic terminals, or if you're heading for the Red Centre, Alice Springs and Ayers Rock both have airports for easy access.
Flights to Orpheus Island – The nearest International airports to Orpheus Island are Cairns or Brisbane. You then need to take an internal flights to this luxury hideaway.
Flights to Perth - International gateway for the whole of Western Australia, Perth also has a Domestic Terminal for flights to all of the West and the rest of Australia.
Flights to Phillip Island
It is no more than a 2 hours drive to Phillip Island on sealed road from Melbourne. Melbourne has both international and domestic airports serving the rest of Australia and the rest of the world.
Flights to Pilbara - The main town sites surrounding the Pilbara are Karratha, Port Hedland on the cost and Tom Price and Newman inaldn. Regular internal daily flights are available to all of these.
Flights to the Pinnacles – Fly into Perth and then talke a coach trip to these Strange formations in the form of thousands of huge limestone pillars rising from the shifting yellow sands. Located in the Red Desert area of Nambung National Park some 245 kilometres north of Perth

Allow around 1.5 hours to make the scenic drive from Hobart to Port Arthur. Hobart has international & domestic airports to reach the rest of Oz and the world beyond. Port Arthur can be reached by chartered sea plane or via a ferry service from Hobart.
Flights to Port Douglas
Port Douglas is easily accessible from Cairns airport along a 44 mile spectacular scenic coastal drive overlooking the Coral Sea. Cairns has international and domestic airports with links throughout Australia and the world.
Flights to Port Lincoln - Port Lincoln is 652 km by road, and 45 minutes by air from Adelaide, South Australia's capital. Adelaide has international and domestic air-links covering the Australian continent and the world beyond.
Flights to Queenscliff - Queenscliff can be easily reached by air from Geelong's Avalon Airport roughly half an hours' drive away. Slightly further a field there is Melbourne with its large international and national airports covering the country and the world beyond.
Flights to Queensland - Queensland has 2 international airports in Brisbane & Cairns which serve as a gateway to the world. Queensland has its own regional airlines and is also served by national air-inks flying into a number of domestic airports scattered across the state.

Sorrento's nearest airports are in Geelong and Melbourne from where tourists can drive to the Great Ocean Road and use the 'searoad' ferry from Queenscliff to reach Sorrento.

Strahan does not have an airport. Its nearest airports are those at Wynyard and Devonport which, in turn, are linked through domestic airlines to Melbourne and Kings Island.
